Planning Scene

The Scheme. The party consolidates earned Intelligence into deliberate preparation — declaring which Scenes lie ahead, ranking them by priority, then rolling a Group Cunning (Plan) Check that converts Intelligence already gathered into bonus Intelligence Options for the Scenes you can name.

Step 1

Requirements

Met
A Scheme can only be initiated when these conditions are met. Per SLHH 8 ¶2874-2880.
Current party Intelligence pool. Initiating the Scheme costs 1 Intelligence — if you have none, you cannot scheme.
Step 2

Declare Scene Types and Priority

Locked
Declare which Scene Types the party is planning for. Rank each by Priority (1 = highest). Each declared type adds +1 to the Planning Check TN — declare carefully. Per SLHH 8 ¶2882-2902.
No Scene Types declared yet.
Step 3

Planning Check — Cunning (Plan)

Rolled
A Group Check. Each participating character rolls their Cunning (Plan) pool against the TN below. Hits combine; Degree of Success is the band reached. Per SLHH 8 ¶2904-2916.
Group Check Cunning (Plan) : TN — TN equals the number of declared Scene Types.
Roll at the table, then mark the Degree of Success the party achieved:
Step 4

Award Scheme Intelligence

Allocated
Each DoS earned awards 1 Scheme Intelligence. Distribute it across unlocked Scene Types (Priority ≤ DoS). Scheme Intelligence is spent at the start of its Scene as an Intelligence Option — if the Scene doesn't occur this Chapter, the allocation is lost. Per SLHH 8 ¶2909-2927.
